MGT 5250 - Understanding Human Emergence Expanded Consciousness as the Basis of Ideal Behavior Credits: 2 Prerequisites: MGT 5111 Delivery mode: Online In this course you will learn the academic and personal meaning of human emergence as it relates to social-emotional intelligence (EQ), transformational leadership, and emergence coaching. You will understand the drive towards emergence, the dynamic process of emergence, and the unfolding nature of human potential. The course introduces the Emergence Methodology that will flow through the entire program, including development of facilitation skills in emergence coaching and leadership and related personal development skills for engaging in your own growth assignments. You will develop skills in emotional awareness and expression, critical thinking, identification and challenge of mistaken beliefs, experimentation with new behaviors, and continuous increasing of consciousness and awareness. You will also have the opportunity to explore the synergies between the facilitation of human emergence and the method and principles of Transcendental Meditation and the Science of Creative Intelligence. Becoming an emergence coach requires that you have a growth mindset, are open to feedback, have a beginner’s mind, are open to feeling your feelings, and that you participate and engage fully in all aspects of the courses. The foundational academic and experiential disciplines you will study throughout the courses include developmental and Adlerian Psychology, humanistic and existential frameworks, action research methodology, as well as neuroscience and other research.
