The MBA for Professionals Program offers students a choice of two areas of specialization:
- Accounting
- Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Analytics
Entrance Requirements
The MBA for Professionals program is designed for students who have substantial training or experience in business with special admission requirements emphasizing prior study and professional experience.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate with an MBA for Professionals with one Specialization, students must successfully complete a minimum of 53 total credits of study, including the 4-credit sequence of Science of Creative Intelligence courses required for all graduate students, 28 credits of courses specific to one Specialization (Accounting or Enterprise Resource Planning and Analytics), 4 credits of courses in career strategies and business communication, and 8 credits of MBA 5000-level electives, and 9 credits of Practicums with Curricular Practical Training (CPT) in a full-time position related to the student’s studies in the MBA for Professionals program. Each additional 3-4 credit MGT 5000-level course earns 3 practicum credits that can be applied to the 9-credit Practicum requirement.
Note: With the permission of the department chair, a maximum of 8 elective credits may be taken as graduate courses in other departments of the university or as undergraduate courses designated 300-level or above in other departments of the university. MBA students who take undergraduate courses may be required to do extra work commensurate with graduate level credit.
