Program Description
The Bachelor of Arts in Consciousness and Human Potential program covers major themes in Maharishi Vedic Science, including higher states of consciousness, collective consciousness, Sanskrit and reading the Vedic literature in Sanskrit, and surveys of all the Consciousness-Based technologies offered by Maharishi Vedic Science.
Four source documents in Maharishi Vedic Science are the foundation for this program, including Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on the Bhagavad Gītā (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, 2019) Science of Being and Art of Living (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, 2016), Vedic Knowledge for Everyone (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, 1995), and Consciousness is All There Is (Tony Nader, MD, PhD, 2024).
Students also develop their writing and speaking skills to be able to apply principles of consciousness and human potential to the areas of health, education, management, and rehabilitation. The Senior Capstone project is a one- to two-month integrative writing exercise to unify the various themes of the student’s academic experience in the program and at MIU.
