Program Description
The MS CS Cooperative Program (ComPro) is designed to facilitate students’ entry into industry positions by allowing up to half the credits to be taken by distance education while working in an industry position. The ComPro curriculum shares the same industry relevant courses as the on-campus MS CS program with an additional 8 credits for Curriculum Practical Training (CPT) Practicum courses completed as part of the student’s work in a computer science industry position.
Entrance Requirements
The entrance requirements for the Cooperative Program are the same as for the MS in Computer Science.
Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements
Students must achieve a CGPA of 3.00 or higher in all computer science courses.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate with an MS in Computer Science through the ComPro program, students must successfully complete the 44 credits of coursework required for the on-campus MS CS, including the Science and Technology of Consciousness course required for all MIU Computer Science graduate students, one Forest Academy course in each semester in which the student is enrolled for 12 weeks or more, 46 credits of required graduate-level computer science courses, and 8 credits of Curricular Practical Training (CPT) credit for work in their current computer science industry position.
