Program Description

In the MBA in Sustainable Business program, students engage in a comprehensive curriculum designed to integrate business principles with sustainability practices. Graduates develop communication skills, team-building management, problem-solving competence, personal growth, and consultancy knowledge to navigate the complexities of modern business while prioritizing environmental and social responsibility. Through ethical decision-making and collaborative innovation, the program prepares future leaders to enact positive change in the global business arena.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate with an MBA in Sustainable Business, students must successfully complete 58 total credits of study, including the 4-credit Science of Creative Intelligence course required for all graduate students, 18 credits of MBA Foundational courses, 16 credits of courses in Sustainable Business including a senior seminar or capstone course with a substantial requirement of research and writing, and 20 credits of electives.

Science of Creative Intelligence Requirement (Choose one series/total 4 credits)


Each course in the FOR 500  sequence fulfills the Forest Academy requirement for the semester in which the course is completed.

MBA Foundational Requirements (Choose minimum 2 credits in any 4 of the following 7 fields/total 18 credits)

Sustainable Business Requirements (Choose 12 credits)


MBA Electives (20 credits)


With the permission of the department chair, a maximum of 8 elective credits may be taken as graduate courses in other departments of the university or as undergraduate courses designated 300-level or above in other departments of the university. MBA students who take undergraduate courses may be required to do extra work commensurate with graduate-level credit.
