YOG 415 - Introduction to Maharishi’s Yoga: Theory and Practice Integration of Knowledge & Experience Credits: 3 Prerequisites: Prerequisites: For MAVIM and MSAT: PH570A, PH570B, PH570C Delivery mode: Online Degree/Program: Yoga Teacher Training This course provides the foundational coursework for non-MACHP graduate students enrolled in the Advanced Specialization in Yoga Teacher Training. Students explore Maharishi’s holistic approach to Yoga, which centers on enlivening Transcendental Consciousness through both knowledge and practice. A twice-daily practice of Yoga Asana (postures), Sukh Pranayama (easy yogic breathing), and Transcendental Meditation is maintained throughout the course. Through direct experience and study in Maharishi Vedic Science, students examine the fundamental aspects of Yogic Knowledge as they relate to the state and path of Yoga.
