Students learn to identify and apply appropriate mathematical methods to real-world scenarios involving the measurement and blending of essential oils. Topics include systems of measurement, arithmetic with fractions and decimals, proportions, percentages, estimation, rates of change, unit conversions, and solving linear equations in one and two variables.
Emphasis is placed on applying mathematical reasoning to practical contexts such as dilution, concentration, and formulation, enabling students to perform accurate calculations and make informed decisions in aromatherapy blending and preparation.
