AG 336 - Water Policy and Politics A Foundational Element of Life Credits: 4 Delivery mode: Online Water is a foundational element that sustains all life. It is also deeply embedded in sociopolitical dynamics and profoundly shaped by community and government decisions. Globally and regionally, socially, scientifically and culturally, there are differing interpretations of what water represents and how it should be managed. In this course, we will seek to better understand how epistemic perspectives, politics, economics, development, and historical events influence water use and access. Additionally, in light of the current and projected impacts of climate crisis, we will examine how water-and access to it-plays, and will continue to play, a role in present and future conflicts.
