AAS 200 - Adult Learning Theory And Portfolio Development For Academic Credit Credits: 2 Delivery mode: On-Campus and Online This course introduces adult-learning theories and their application to evaluating and documenting experiential learning for academic credit. Students will study major theoretical frameworks in adult education-including experiential learning, self-directed learning, transformational learning, reflective practice, and learning outcomes assessment-and apply them to the creation of a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) portfolio. By the end of this course, each student will produce a complete, academically grounded narrative of learning and a portfolio of evidence suitable for submission to the university as a request for credit for prior learning in the field of a specific course.
