Art is structured in the consciousness of the artist and the viewer, and the collective consciousness of the culture. You will explore how paintings and sculptures mirror the qualities and potentials of your own consciousness. You will discover that the greatest art allows us to transcend through all layers of the mind: the senses, intellect, and feelings to universal consciousness, the unified field of awareness deep within everyone. This course highlights art from many cultures and time periods, including modern Western art. You will copy or create art that expresses your own experiences of consciousness, and the full range of your identity. This course includes videos and transcripts of talks by Maharishi on art.
