BIO 269 - Human Anatomy And Physiology Outer Depends on Inner, the State of Inner Balance of Our Body Determines Our Health Credits: 4 Prerequisites: Graduate student standing Delivery mode: Online This course provides basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology required for students in the MS program in Maharishi AyurVeda and Integrative Medicine. It explores the terminology, structure, function, and interdependence of human body systems, introducing relevant medical terminology. The course offers an understanding of how the body’s structure and function maintain balance for a healthy state. Topics include homeostasis, feedback control, skeletal-muscular system, blood, cardiovascular system, immune system, and digestive system, including gut health. Additional topics cover divisions of the nervous system, respiratory system, endocrine system, reproductive system, nervous system, and excretory system. Relevant scientific research is discussed as appropriate. Students also explore how human physiology replicates natural laws, as expressed in ancient Vedic Literature discovered by Dr. Tony Nader, MD, PhD.
