AG 405 - Individualized Project Proposal Taking Right Action Through Increased Awareness Credits: 4-8 Prerequisites: BA ROA majors in good academic standing and Program Director consent Delivery mode: On-Campus In this course, students apply what they have learned in the regenerative organic agriculture program to develop a personal project initiative that enhances regenerative principles within the MIU campus community. Students begin by identifying a specific issue that they would like to resolve and develop a comprehensive project plan that defines the proposal, scope, and objectives of the project. Instructors of the agriculture program will provide oversight and guidance for the student to ensure a holistic perspective is combined with a detailed oriented approach to the proposed initiative. Project proposals may include process improvement or increased production at the farm, improved aesthetics at the Sustainable Living Center, or regenerative landscaping on MIU’s campus. Students will give a final presentation on their project at the end of the course. Students may request to be nominated to represent the department and present their project at the annual Senior Project Honors Competition. This course is offered according to demand. May be repeated for credit subject to satisfactory progress in the first course and a clear plan for the progression of learning in the subsequent course.
