MATH 272 - Discrete Mathematics Knowledge has Organizing Power Credits: 4 Prerequisites: MATH 162 Delivery mode: On-Campus and Online This course provides a solid foundation in the mathematical abstraction, notation, and logical reasoning essential to computer science. Topics include set theory, graph theory, propositional and predicate logic, counting principles, permutations, combinations, probability, the binomial theorem, recursion, mathematical induction, and Boolean algebra. Practical examples and applications to computer science are integrated throughout. This is a writing-intensive course.
