AG 224 - Animals On The Regenerative Farm

Tractors do not make more of themselves. They consume barrels of petroleum while they slowly rust and fall apart. Domestic animals on the other hand, make more of themselves and consume fuel that can be grown on the farm while they: build topsoil, provide food, make garden beds, and haul materials. With most human pursuits, there are gross unfortunate examples, as well as inspiring and beautiful examples to be found. In this course we will look at the ecological and humane ways that domestic animals have been woven into Homo sapiens life. Students will gain practical knowledge of animal care and learn how to create symbiotic systems on the regenerative farm.
