Prerequisites: CANM 256 or CANM 260 or faculty consent Academic background or prior experience required: Intermediate experience with Adobe Photoshop

Fees: Lab fee: $20 if enrolled on-campus
Through a series of lectures and hands-on assignments, students will acquire an understanding and practical skills for 2D animation from storytelling, storyboarding, character and background design, preparing images for animation, interpolation and key-framing of assets, and frame-by-frame animation by using software such as Photoshop, After Effects and Procreate (iPad). All of this will culminate in a final animated short film, commercial, or production binder with sizzle reel.
